FOR THE WITCH WHO WANTS HER OWN BOOK

Light your candle, open your spellbook and read the words aloud.

Open book on pages 18 and 19: the Money Spell, nine lines for nine knots above a pot of spilled coins, beside the Bottle Spell with its list of what you need

You know how it goes: a spell saved in one tab, a chant in a screenshot, the steps in a video you can't find again.

This is the book that sits on your table instead. One spell to a page: what you need, what to do and the words to say, printed large enough to read by candlelight.

55 spell pages with a contents page up front, from a purification rite with four clean coins to a full moon wish with a glass of lemon juice.

YOU WANT TO CAST A SPELL TONIGHT, AND THE SCREEN HANDS YOU HALF OF ONE

You go looking for one spell and you get...

  • Ten tabs that each give part of a spell, and none of them give the words.

  • A downloaded PDF you never open again.

  • A phone glowing next to your candle while you scroll for the next line.

  • Lists that send you shopping for a kit before you can start.

None of that is on you. A spell is simply easier to keep on paper, on your own table.

HERE'S WHAT YOU GET WITH A SPELLBOOK OF YOUR OWN
  • One spell to a page, under its own hand-lettered title.

  • What you need, listed first: candles, coins, salt, herbs and kitchen spices for many of them.

  • The steps in order, then the words to speak, printed large.

  • A contents page on page 2, so you find your way around quickly.

ONE SPELL, START TO FINISH

Four clean coins, four directions, one short rite of letting go.

A PURIFICATION SPELL · PAGE 3

Page 3, A Purification Spell: four drawn hands tossing coins toward West, North, East and South, with the words I freely give this up

The book opens with this one. The page says it is for when you feel out of control of your life, after a relationship ends, or any other time you feel the need.

  1. Wash four coins until they're sparkling clean. The page suggests baking soda and a toothbrush.
  2. Stand before a well, facing West. Toss in a coin and say: "I freely give this up."
  3. Turn to face North and do the same. Then East. Then South.
  4. Your rite has ended.

The page adds its own note: don't use a well that serves as drinking water. Most pages follow the same order: what you need, what to do, what to say.

55 SPELL PAGES, ONE SPELL TO A PAGE

What you'll be doing with the book open

A few of the spells, with the pages they're on.

  • Make a full moon wish with a glass of lemon juice. Tell the moon what you desire, raise your glass to her, say four lines, then pour the juice on the ground (p 35).
  • Take a success bath with garden herbs. Leaves of marigold, mint, parsley, fennel or cress in the water, and a six-line chant (p 10).
  • Sit before a flame and speak the fire-wall chant. Picture a sphere of light around you and end with "None shall pass. No, none at all." (p 14).
  • Tie nine knots for the Money Spell. A green silk cord or ribbon, 13 inches long, and one rhyming line for each knot (p 18).
  • Work the three-page ritual for an unhappy home. Candles for each person in the house, the troubles written down, then burned (pp 29 to 31).
  • Make a basil and cinnamon love talisman. Three rings of cinnamon and basil around your own picture, and "Love surrounds me" said three times (pp 41 to 43).
  • Put a scarf of sage, cloves and basil under your pillow. The Nightmare Spell: draw what troubles your sleep on the outside and tie it with white ribbon (p 22).
  • Raise a stick dipped in glitter to a star. The Perfect Soul Mate Spell, in white clothes, best on a new moon, with the glitter kept by your front door (p 57).
THE BOOK ITSELF

Big pages and hand-lettered titles, easy to read by candlelight.

Open book on pages 10 and 11: For Success with its bath chant, and For a Safe Return beside a drawing of a great tree with a door in its trunk

8.5 x 11 in pages, the size of a sheet of letter paper, so the chants sit large on the page.

Titles in a hand-lettered script, steps in a typewriter face, and black-and-white drawings and engravings: cauldrons, candles, a pot of spilled coins, a great tree with a door in its trunk.

The black cover carries a lit candle on an old book in a wreath of herbs, and reads Old Witch Book of Spells.

The questions people ask first

Straight answers, from the book itself.

1.I'm new to witchcraft. Can I use this book?

Yes. Each spell sits on its own page: what you need, what to do and the words to say. Start with the Purification Spell on page 3 or the Protection Spell on page 4. The book gives spells, not theory, so you won't find chapters on history or belief.

2.What's inside?

A title page, the contents on page 2, then 55 spell pages (pages 3 to 57): purification, protection, luck, money and success, love, dreams and prophecy, peace at home, beauty, curse-breaking and two time spells. A few longer rituals run over two or three pages, such as Purification Ritual I to III.

3.How big is the book? Is it a hardcover?

It's a paperback: 58 pages, 8.5 x 11 in (letter size), black-and-white interior, black matte cover. Big pages, slim book.

4.Where do the spells come from?

The book is a collection of old-style folk spells, charms and chants. It does not give a source or a date for each spell. If you want every working with its author, book and year, see The Practical Grimoire.

5.Is it Wiccan? Is there religious content?

It follows no single path. Some chants call on the Goddess, the Lady and the Lord, Aphrodite or guiding angels; many use plain words. You can keep the words as printed or say them your own way.

6.Do I need special tools?

Many spells use candles, coins, salt, herbs and kitchen spices. Some ask for more, such as a cauldron, frankincense, essential oils, a lodestone or orris root. Each page lists what it needs before the steps.

7.Are there spells aimed at other people?

A few pages are written about another person. We print the book as it is. Balabala's Love Spell on page 39 says it plainly: working to make a certain person love you goes against their free will. Many readers keep to the spells for themselves and their home.

8.Is it safe to do these spells at home?

Many spells use candle flames or burn a slip of paper. Work on a heat-proof surface, never leave a flame alone, and keep herbs, oils and flames away from children and pets. The spells are folk practice and never replace medical care.

9.Is it a good gift for a witchy friend?

Yes. It's a printed spellbook with a black cover with a candle and herb emblem, big pages and a page for each spell, easy to open on any night. It ships to the address you enter at checkout.

10.How does shipping work, and what if it isn't for me?

Your book is printed when you order and shipped to you, with the delivery estimate shown at checkout. You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee: if it isn't the book you wanted, you get your money back.
